This is a great little entry ML but if you have the extra money I would buy either the Optima, Accura V2 or MR (Mountain Rifle). BUT .... the CVA Wolf is still a great ML with a very good price point. I will be upgrading in the fall of 2015 - maybe this year if I sell my Wolf. To me the difference in barrel length is a non-issue. For a few years, and many deers, i have been carrying a 23" barrel. It works good. However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf. My choice would be the Optima V2, because of the latch mechanism.581.
