I get 20 - 21 mpg around town (v6 only) and when traveling on the Interstate for hours and hours, I connect the device's green wire to ground and let Honda's VCM PC improve my MPG to 25, at 80 mph(ish). Just my 2 cents, but I think the 6-speed TC problems are driving less by the VCM slipping the clutch and more by the pathetic performance of DW-1 under high-heat.
