At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!Remove the extractor. Remove the firing pin if you want to be extra cautious. Seat a fully loaded magazine. Depress the slide stop to allow the slide to move forward at full speed. If the cartridge chambers and the pistol goes fully into battery then the extractor is, in fact, causing the feeding malfunction.The Dan Wesson has the best fit, finish, and accuracy.
