The firearm itself has worked great for me, no issues with any ammo I have tried (Sellier & Bellot, Blazer Brass, Winchester White Box, American Eagle, hand loads). However, the magazines have been giving me quite a bit of trouble. Given the same level of recoil, a shorter slide needs a stronger recoil spring. The reason the Shield EZ models are easier to rack is that they have longer barrels, and therefore longer recoil springs; hence they are lighter springs.
