Cannot believe this restaurant is in Sac City Iowa. This would be a solid 4 star restaurant anywhere but for Sac City this would be a 10. Everything we ordered was great, I had the charred Caesar salad which was not only a good Cesar, but above and beyond. Every dish was done to that extra level with presentation and flavor. Service was wonderful.Because of Valentines Day, Cattlemens was packed at 7:30 in the evening. We did not have reservations but were told politely that the bar was open and it would be a two-hour wait. When we took our seats my first reaction was to look around at the setting. The scenery was right on with what you may think is a cowboy showroom bar.In the early '90s, George Bush (the elder, while he was President) stopped in for a good meal and a stiff drink.
