It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.

When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away. Guessing you can figure out which cylinder it is by turning off injectors with a scan tool.
