I hated the engage grip on my V3, but the Lift 33 doesn't feel like it wants to torque as easy, even with the engage grip.The Hoyt is just a little faster. (like 3fps). As far as noise we can't tell the difference between the two. I think his has less hand shock and he thinks mine has less hand shock, but what we both agree on is the Hoyt's draw cycle is WAY smoother than the Mathews. Both are great bows but the draw cycle on the Mathews killed it for me.
